Dhaulagiri trek

Situated to the west of the Annapurna massif, Dhaulagiri (Nepalese for "white mountain") is a wilderness that attracts adventure-seekers. Indeed, touring Dhaulagiri is an incredible adventure in high mountain terrain, far removed from human activity.

Dhaulagiri itinerary

Day 1

Pick-up from Kathmandu International Airport and transfer to hotel. Visit to the tourist and commercial district of Thamel. First immersion in the city's many gems.

Day 2

Free day to visit Kathmandu and its valley. Final preparations for the trek.

Day 3

Transfer Kathmandu-Beni by bus or private jeep (8 to 11h journey)

Day 4

Beni-Babiyachaur.970m (5-6h walk)

Day 5

Babiyachaur-Dharapani.1560m (5h30 to 6h30 walk)

Day 6

Dharapani-Muri.1720 (6 to 7h walking)

Day 7

Muri-Boghara.2080m (5h30 to 6h30 walk)

Day 8

Boghara-Dhoban.2520m (5 to 6h walk)

Day 9

Dhoban-Chaur Bag Khola Camp.3445m (4h30 to 5h30 walk)

Acclimatization day at French Base Camp

French Base Camp-Dhaulagiri Base Camp.4748m (6 to 7h walking)

Acclimatization day around Dhaulagiri Base Camp

Day 14

Dhaulagiri Base Camp-Hidden Valley Camp.5140m via the French Pass.5360m (7 to 8h walk)

Day 15

Hidden Valley Camp-Alubari.3900m via Dhampus Pass.5244m (7 to 8h walk)

Day 16

Alubari-Marpha.2670m (3 to 4h walk)

Day 17

Transfer from Marpha to Tatopani by bus or private jeep (4 to 5 hours' journey), then relax in the natural hot springs in the afternoon.

Day 18

Tatopani-Pokhara transfer by bus or private jeep (6 to 7h journey)

Day 19

Day at leisure around Lake Phewa in Pokhara. Possibility to take a cab up to the village of Sarangkot at 1592m to watch the sunrise over Pokhara and its valley and the entire Annapurna massif.

Day 20

Transfer Pokhara-Kathmandu by plane, bus or private car, then visit and stroll around Kathmandu to discover its temples and squares from another time.

Day 21

Transfer to the airport and departure.
