Everest BASE CAMP itinerary
Day 1
Pick-up from Kathmandu International Airport and transfer to hotel. Visit to the tourist and commercial district of Thamel. First immersion in the city's many gems.
Day 2
Free day to visit Kathmandu and its valley. Final preparations for the trek.
Day 3
Kathmandu-Lukla transfer by plane (30 minutes) then trek to Phakding.2610m (3 to 4h walk)
Day 4
Phakding-Namche Bazar.3440m
(5 to 6 hours walking)
Day 5
Day of acclimatization around Namche Bazar with a climb to Everest View point
Day 6
Namche Bazar-Tengboche.3860m (5 to 6h walk). Possibility of attending the afternoon ceremony at the Buddhist monastery.
Day 7
Tengboche-Dingboche.4410m (5 to 6h walking)
Day 8
Acclimatization day in the Chhukung valley and return to Dingboche
Day 9
Dingboche-Lobuche.4910m (5 to 6h walking)
Day 10
Lobuche-Gorak Shep.5170m. Ascent to Everest Base Camp (5364m) during the day (7 to 8h walk).
Day 11
Morning departure from Gorak Shep and climb to the fantastic Kala Patar lookout.5550m. Sublime panoramic views of Everest, Lhotse, Makalu, Pumori and all the peaks of the massif. Return to Pheriche.4240m (6 to 7h walking)
Day 12
Pheriche-Khumjung.3780m (6 to 7h walking)
Day 13
Kumjung-Phakding.2610m (5-6h walk)
Day 14
Phakding-Lukla.2840m (3 to 4h walking)
Day 15
Transfer from Lukla to Kathmandu by plane (30 minutes), then visit and stroll around Kathmandu to discover its temples and squares from another era.
Day 16
Transfer to the airport and departure.
