Itinerary
Day 1
Welcome at Kathmandu International Airport and transfer to hotel. Visit to the tourist and commercial district of Thamel
Day 2
Flight Kathmandu-Pokhara (25 minutes) or transfer by bus (6 to 8h journey). Walk around Lake Phewa. Visit by boat to the Baharai Hindu temple on the lake's island.
Day 3
Transfer by cab to Phedi (45-minute journey), then walk to Australian Camp via the pretty villages of Dhampus and Pothana (4 to 5-hour walk).
Day 4
We leave Australian Camp to hike over beautiful hills to Nagarkot to watch the sunrise over the Annapurnas and Macchapucchare the next day (5-6h walk).
Day 5
We descend for 2 hours along pretty paths overlooking the valley. A stop at Bindhabasani Temple, where we feel a deep inner calm, and then we take the cab to Pokhara. The rest of the day is spent visiting the International Mountain Museum and the Mahadev Caves.
Day 6
A cab takes us to Lake Begnas, where we find peace and quiet along its banks. We then walk to a small village to discover a way of life where time has no hold. We stay overnight close to the lake.
Day 7
Back to Pokhara in the morning to visit the Tibetan refugee camp. We then head to the shores of Lake Phewa for a canoe trip and a climb to the World Peace Stûpa overlooking the lake and the city. Paragliding available on this day.
Day 8
Transfer Pokhara-Kathmandu by plane, bus or private car, then visit and stroll around Kathmandu to discover its temples and squares from another time.
Day 9
Transfer to the airport and departure.
